Privacy Policy

This explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. We have tried to describe what the system actually does rather than what is merely permitted.

What we collect

• The photo you upload. Stored in Cloudflare R2 and sent to our AI providers to generate your images.
• Your quiz answers.Breed, coat length, goal, and optionally your dog’s name.
• Your email address, to deliver the lookbook and handle support.
• Technical and advertising data.IP address, user agent, and advertising identifiers such as Meta’s click and browser identifiers, plus any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded pet photos are deleted after 90 days, on an automated schedule.
• Generated images and your PDF are kept while your delivery link is valid, which is 90 days.
• Order records are kept as long as we are required to for tax and accounting.

Who we share it with

We use these processors, and no others:

• OpenAI and Google — image generation from your uploaded photo.
• Cloudflare R2 — image and PDF storage. Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection.
• Neon — database hosting. Vercel — application hosting.
• Polar — payment processing as Merchant of Record.
• Resend — delivery email.
• PostHog (EU region) — product analytics and session replay.
• Meta — advertising measurement, including server-side conversion events.

Advertising

We send Meta a record of purchases so we can measure which ads work. Your email address is hashed with SHA-256 before it is sent; we never transmit it in the clear. We do not sell your data.

Analytics and session replay

A sample of sessions is recorded to see where the flow breaks. All form inputs are masked in those recordings, so your email address and any text you type are not captured.

Your rights

Email us to request a copy of your data or its deletion and we will act within 30 days. Deleting your data removes your delivery link, so download your PDF first.

Coatly is not directed at anyone under 18.
